Atlas HQ, February 2019,

And so another season of tours begins. 2019 is shaping up to be our busiest year ever with virtually all tours full to bursting.

We're kicking off the year with our Morocco Classic Tour. We've been running this tour for nearly 20 years and it never loses it's appeal. Morocco is a fast changing country, so no two trips are ever the same. As far as Atlas Overland is concerned, we always incorporate new elements to the tour from exploring exciting off-road routes, to discovering new campsites and wild camping spots.

In May we’re off to Corsica, The Pearl of the Mediterranean. At this time of year, the island is quiet and the white sandy beaches are deserted. This year we’ll start the tour with an overnight cruise from the French port of Toulon, arriving early morning at Bastia with its pretty harbour. During our off-road tour of Corsica, we’ll explore the rugged west coast, the mountainous and verdant interior of the island, the long sandy beaches of the east coast and the rustic north coast and its azure coastline.

In June, we’ll return to Scandinavia. Catching the ferry from Harwich to Holland we’ll take a quick drive up through Germany before taking a short hop over to Denmark and then Sweden. Our off-tarmac driving begins in Norway when we head into the highlands to the west of Lillehammer. We’ll spend a while exploring this beautiful and remote region before venturing to the fjords on the Atlantic coast. Continuing further north we’ll visit Trondheim before heading for Sweden and its vast forests and thousands of lakes. The culmination of this tour is a full day exploring the Danish capital, Copenhagen.

July sees us back in central Europe for our new Italian Alps tour. As well as exploring the many high level routes around the ski resorts and abandoned forts, we’ve a day exploring Turin, the heart of Italian automotive history. We’ve also a day of adventurous activities with the opportunity for white-water rafting and paragliding.

The climax of our overseas season sees us return to Morocco. In October we’ll be venturing away from the tourist areas to spend more time exploring the Anti Atlas mountain range, before heading south to the fringes of the Sahara. We’ll be wild-camping under desert skies, driving remote sandy pistes before heading west to the Atlantic coast.

For year-round off-roading, join one of our Wessex Wander weekends exploring the byways of Dorset and Wiltshire. You can have a bracing weekend driving the tracks of Salisbury Plain or enjoy late summer evenings travelling on ancient byways around Stonehenge.

No matter what your ability, what vehicle you drive, we've got the tour for you. For all of our tours, group sizes are strictly limited to give you a high level of customer support so book early.

Our 2019 and 2020 schedules are on our homepage and bookings are open now. For more information on any of our tours, please contact us at

Happy trails,

Peter & Jo
