July 2015 Newsletter

Welcome to our July newsletter; we've recently returned from our Corsica tour and are now on our new Scandinavia and Iceland adventures. We'll be reporting back in our next newsletter.

Corsica

We were blessed with superb weather this year on Corsica; clear blue skies and temperatures in the mid 20s. May/June is a great time to visit the "Island of Beauty" as there's not too much traffic - we saw no other 4x4s on any of our trails which during the height of summer would probably be closed due to fire risk. Campsites and restaurants are half full and a relaxed atmosphere pervades across the island.

We were delighted to have John and Pat from Land Rover Owner International along for the trip together with ace photographer Jerome Andre. You'll be able to read about our exploits in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

In the meantime, next year's tour will run from 23 May - 2 June. The cost of the tour is £895 per person based on two people sharing a vehicle. Group size will be limited to six customer vehicles so early booking is essential.

The cost includes return Mediterranean ferry to Corsica with external en-suite cabin. All Corsican campsite fees, Atlas Overland Guide and support vehicle on call 24/7. For more information click on any of the photographs below:-

Wessex Wanderer

All of our overseas tours for 2015 are now full but if you fancy a great weekend off-roading on and around Salisbury Plain, we still have space on our Wessex Wanderer weekends on 14-15 November and 5-6 December. The cost is £160 per vehicle and includes two nights at our superb campsite with modern facilities and licenced restaurant serving evening meals and hearty breakfasts to hungry campers! 2016 Adventure Tours

In our last newsletter we published our schedule of tours for 2016; as a result the phone and email has been busy and tours are filling quickly. Remember, we specialise in small groups, typically 6 customer vehicles so early booking is advisable.

Please note that our Portuguese tour now runs in August to take advantage of the summer heat and school summer holidays. Our Corsica and April Morocco tours also coincide with school holidays as many of our customers are tied to these periods because of their jobs or children. Unlike the big travel companies, we don't charge a premium for tours during holiday periods!

We've also moved our autumn Morocco trips earlier to take advantage of long Saharan evenings and for something different we'll be revisiting Scandinavia and Iceland in the summer.
